I still remember my childhood days
Sweet Times I spent on the Guava Tree
A place of peace, happiness and solace
I would run and climb high, cling, feel free
Spiders weaved beautiful webs, not so far
I would wonder about their wonderful skills
Cuckoos would sing on the Curry Tree afar
The Tree was full of Joy, Wisdom and thrills
On many occasions I have seen parrots
Flocking on the branches of the very tree
They too would relish the sweet guava fruits
Squirrels would hop on the pomegranate tree
The Good Old Guava Tree may not be around
But its memories are deep-rooted in my mind.
