Remember when we first met?
Everything was exciting and new.
Remember when we moved in together?
Life was challenging but beautiful.

Remember when we moved up the coast?
Contentment lived with me.
Remember when being a combined family stretched our limits?
Stretched it so much you called it quits.

Remember when we broke up?
Fear and insecurity peeked in.
Remember when we found each other again?
I thought we'd give it our everything.

Remember the good and the bad times we had?
Relationships are not easy.
Remember when things went haywire?
I closed myself off.

Remember when it came to an end?
You went one way and i went the other.
Remember the lonely nights we have?
Still trying to hang onto what we have, what we had.
