Remember Poem by Rebekah Gamble

Remember

Do you recall
all the time we used
on each other?
The time I forced you
to dance in the rain
in front of the whole school?
How they all thought we were mad,
laughing and raising outstretched arms
to the clouds,
laughing to the storm?
Or the time going home,
when you were near to tears,
and I comforted you
by giving you my story?
You admired me then,
and you always will.
You are not aware
that I am leaving,
and that I won't keep in touch.
I know you will remember,
for you've never had an adventure
quite like me.
There are many ways to love.
Don't waste any time
trying too hard
to put me from your mind and memory,
for I grow in your heart.
Just know, and accept,
that there is a time to leave,
and that I have loved you
in my own way.

This is very insightfull. It is filled with alot of emotion that comes with bitter/sweet love. I enjoyed the way you made the words flow with so much ease and yet sadness engaging with the bare facts that life will go on..... Bonnie
