Rejoice Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Rejoice

We thank God for the gift
of earth's magic mantle,
the 'mid-atlantic rift'
and water music by Handel.

Rejoice oh friends of the earth sea and sky,
After the stormy winds, heaven is nigh.
Luminous stars will glow in the night
With a dash and a flash of picturesque light.

Rejoice all ye people, as little birds fly.
As well as the emerald, diamonds will shine.
To neglect our dear planet, we cannot afford
And we pray for guidance from our Lord.

Rejoice everyone, for the sun and the rain
And romantic chords of a top-notch refrain
Sweet doves in love may hamper our way with
A dash and a flash, but they bring love in May.

We thank God for the gift
of earth's magic mantle,
the 'mid-atlantic rift'
and water music by Handel.
