Refuge (After Emily Bronte) Poem by Meng Lim Dr

Refuge (After Emily Bronte)

In my hours of deep sorrow
refuge in Mother Nature I humbly take
placing my faith in a new tomorrow
my heavy-laden heart learns to forsake

all the chagrin, darkness and tedium
that relentlessly over me does hover--
where beauty is, nothing is gloom or solemn
I am transformed and become life's fervent lover
