Red Light-Green Light Poem by Joseph Dos Santos

Im stuck at a red light
with choices to make
I have several different roads
but only one chance to take
each path has its bumps
and each its own way
that will keep me tight
and wont let me stray
never again will I be here
to get a second chance
stuck at these crossroads
taking forever to advance
i dont have much longer
before i have to go
Ive torn myself apart
with my pain starting to show
now a decision will be made
and i sure hope its right
because as i look up
i see a green light
