Reappearance Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Reappearance

It has been awhile
Since I saw you last
Your presence invigorates fast

I did not realize
How much I had missed
Since being hit with winter’s fist

All my expectations
Have been hidden
Visions of you were forbidden

Unseasonable warm breezes
Thawed and melted
All the snow and ice that pelted

Your gentle smile returned
With inspiring charm…
A euphoric shot in the arm

Blades of green grass
Your essence topped the brim…
Rekindling a spirit within

Your appearance was brief
During December’s slumber
A wonderful sight to remember
