Realizer Poem by William King Jr.

Realizer

You thought I wouldn't open my eyes
You thought I wouldn't see
You thought I wouldn't realize
What you were doing to me
You thought your games were oh so funny
You thought that they were cool
You didn't expect that in the end
You'd be the real fool
You thought you could take my love
And leave me shuttering in the cold
You didn't think I'd stand up
To show you that I'm bold
You thought that you were perfect
Your lies could never do harm
You thought that I was dumb enough
To fall under your charm
Well today my dear is different
Today my dear we meet
Today my dear is the last day
That we should ever speak
No more lies and deception
No more wasting away
Never again shall I see your awful, horrid face
No longer will I wait for your love
Waiting for love to engineer
I'm sorry sweetheart but my love
Has moved away from here
