Realization 101...... Poem by RIC BASTASA

Realization 101......

Rating: 5.0

when we entangled
and the sensation lingers from
vine to vine
from tendrils to tendrils
and the tenderness of the night
had become fertile grounds for all
those memories to grow and bloom
like clouds not heavy with the
the rain yet,
we feel the softness of muffins
after the sweet ordeal.

when you leave me alone, back into
my senses, I feel like an empty earthen jar
after, and soon thoughts like water fills
my emptiness and I feel so cold but not
that desperate anymore like a dog still
working out with the flesh and still
looking for the bone or the vultures for
the carcass, forgive my comparison.

perhaps we are destined to pass hell first
before missing heaven, I did not tell you
about this, because you are yet preoccupied
with my love for you.

perhaps, enlightenment only comes after we
have exhausted each other with so much love.
the love that overflows and makes us wet and
gibberish. It is not a good feeling to be wet,
we always look for the sunshine in our
hearts.

perhaps when one wants to break out and be
free, the mouth within our minds begin to speak
only for itself.
Here one rises from the humdrum of the usual
love, the love of tradition, the love of
the flesh and the bones.

there is another love out there, nesting
with the eagles on the cliffs of our
unwanted loneliness, but the kind
that we really deserved.

so here I am talking to myself,
enlightened. My love does not deserve you.
and without talking to you,
I close the door and find my much-needed
rest in my room.
Looking for God.

Time comes to feel so much of love. Enlightenment motivates mind. An amazing perceptional poem is excellently penned.

You have described many phases of love lately, like the biography of a living creature. In this extended series love is both an ordeal and adventure. Your phraseology is grand, but there's not a taint of artificiality. Lovely! A ten for your series!
