Ready For Either. Poem by Ogolla Enock

The honor of bulls isn't in their horns or their skin colors
But in their strength, their frame, and diverse usefulness.
The ability to sire better calves, be gentle with others,
meet demands other than meat and still with a fearless face,
stand between the altar and the plow."Ready for either."

As it is in bulls so it is in men;
Honored not for their gender and complexion.
But for their strength of character,
their frame of mind, and diverse expertise.

To raise better generations, be true Knights -
calm but firm against tyranny and abuse,
Gentle with others, and still with manly courage,
stand before whatever altar or plow it may be, "Ready for either."

An accomplished man is a man of diverse expertise.
There is so much you can be or do in one life
Broaden your field of interests and expertise, my lad!
Specialization is for insects.

The universe deserves the best of you and everything is
at your disposal to fashion your life to its best existence
But it's yours to decide if you'll ever stand before
whatever altar or plow it may be. "Ready for either."
