Re-Losing My(Any) Religion. Poem by Dan Reynolds

Re-Losing My(Any) Religion.

Re-losing my(any) religion.

So empathy deserts us at these times,
although we know we’ve seen it all before.
I can’t consider justifying crimes...
To walk in shoes i wish they’d never wore?

How can I see the sense in senseless death
attributed to Glory for their God?
Perhaps had they been taking Crystal Meth
their actions wouldn’t quite seem half as odd.

The Media’s attention guaranteed.
The TWITters and the Facebook photos roll.
The fractions and reactions gather speed,
In lands where Gods are married with the “soul”.

If all could learn the Atheistic dance,
perhaps the Human Race might stand a chance.
