Raw Minds In Love Poem by Ojok Isaac

Raw Minds In Love

The first man came
He knelt down and
kissed my little hand
I was a queen once
So he said to me
What can I do for
you to be my wife
And I said baby
go and kill a lion
He died in the bush
Trying to prove his love

The second man came
He looked at me
And smiled like a baby boy
He was so handsome
That even trees we're asking
Why can't she understand
So he held my hand
And I said take me to a park
And he said baby come with me
And jumped a lion from the bush
And killed this handsome pal

And lastly came a lion
Who gave me all I wanted
And now I know I was wrong at first
I didn't know what love was
My first and second love
Couldn't meet my demand
But they sacrificed their lives for
And that was the kind of love
That today I'm hungry for
Because my love is horror
And I suffer because I was too young
in mind that I failed to love
The people who loved me
