The heavens dint oblige to the calls of the parched earth
And the ponds and lakes dried becos of water's dearth
The trees and the plants begged to the Sun god to relent
For it had been months, since he had shone without ne remorse or sign of repence.
Then came along the Rain god, cool wind by his side
Lightening sounds his anger and the dark cloud as his ride.
Hovering over the dry earth, he blesses it with the elixir of life
The smell of wet earth, refreshingly rife.
