I woke from my dream and felt a chill down my spine,
the dark and lonely night was still alive and i felt far from fine...
I took a minute laying on my pillow and then a sound caught my ear...
the sound of a light shower of rain had broke out, and then i remembered... my fear...
I had a dream not so long ago about a dark and lonely night,
one where the rain started to pour sevral minutes from opening my eyes,
but no... wait... surely the dream couldn't be right...?
I walked to the bedroom chair, which was by my desk...
and watched as the rain started to fight amongst the wind like a rude univited guest...
The rain got harder and seemed to pour endlessly from the sky,
The worst bit was yet to come and i dared not look at the time...
You see at 12: 42am is when i saw the car appear and to my horror it did again with a passanger in the rear...
It was my love or at least i thought, smiling and content,
then i see a man get out of the drivers side of the vehicle and I realise what might have been.
I jumped to conclusions and stormed down the stairs, like the rain outside i cared not why he might have been there.
I burst trough the door and then a puzzeled look from my love,
and i had the expression on my face which was evil and well let's just say that's enough...
The odd thing is before i could i question i remember going faint,
... i woke again... still late...
The dark and lonely night was still alive and i felt far from fine...
A sense of de ja vu hit me and then i remebered the next line...
I took a minute laying on my pillow and then a sound caught my ear...
the sound of a light shower of rain had broke out, and then i remembered... my fear...
I'm still dreaming....?
I love the title and the multiple déjà vu's. I did stumble a bit on some of the transitions, yet the nature of the poem may preclude that. The idea of rain and dreams is very appealing. Keep it up!
