Raging Waters Poem by e.e. wilholt

Raging Waters

Rating: 2.7

Red river rushes
Beating and slapping away
Through the loops of its system.
Bounding arteries harden
Against the pressure.
Small vessels
Burst in its passing;
Pulsating temples pound.

A scowling storm
Screams through the system.
A renegade ocean, tasting of fury
Strikes out, relenting swings
Mindless flinging fists.

The hot waves break and recede.
Weakened, I rest.
