Engaged couple died suddenly
In a car wreck, to heaven went.
At Pearly Gates St. Peter be
And listened to the couple vent
About not getting to be wed.
Now dead did the two have to part?
Could they still get married instead,
And in death get their wedded start?
Their marriage might not last of course
If they had lived, now that they'd died,
Could they later get a divorce?
St. Peter looked at them and sighed,
'Finding a priest here's hard enough, '
'Finding a lawyer's really tough.'
