Queen Of Hearts Poem by Elliott Rosenberg

Queen Of Hearts

Rating: 5.0

Here I am my love,
Dressed in skin tonight.
For your smile tares this heart,
Wich runs for miles apart.

Wrapped in doubt I fear your silence,
For your eyes undress my wants.
Forgive me not for truth I am,
And leave my crown behind.

Flesh on diamonds the jewels remain,
Harbouring you home at last.
So far from shore that called your name,
Where our bodies laid before.

No matter where the sun will spring,
Please bring your arms to me,
For your warmth will hold these bleeding lips,
That only your kiss can heel.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Sitting at Starbucks cafe I met Esther the queen of hearts drowning in her own whirpool of desires. She is black by race scarred by the birth of stars that yearn in her bossom daily. She is not swayed by moons or tides, steadfast is her way focused on the prism that lights her soul. And so I wrote on the eve of Dr. Martin Luther Kings birthday 2012.....
