Putting On Wet Socks Wet Boots Is Winter Luck Poem by Terence George Craddock

Putting On Wet Socks Wet Boots Is Winter Luck

we wear kept in plastic bag dry socks to sleep at night
if it heavy rains pack gets drenched our socks stay dry
if fine at night night fire will fully partly dry hung socks
if not putting back on wet socks wet boots is winter luck

small rivers we cross slowly steady arms linked in chain
with sturdy steps feeling between rocks creeks rivers cross
small rivers waist deep in linked arm chain can safely cross
small rivers with sturdy long branch pole held we can cross
