Promised Poem by Ajpw Wiggan

Promised

And though it was promised,
Saturated but calm.
There it appeared -
Disgust -
A rippling through every cell.
A prison on its own
In mind and very much alone -
The need to embrace.

And though it was promised,
Must we fall...
Where air lay.

Yours Aj
