Pro-Act an Acrostic Poem by Loyd C Taylor Sr

Pro-Act an Acrostic

Pray to seek guidance from God.

Reflect on the outcome of your decision.

Only move forward when you are sure that the decision is the best. Remember, 'When in doubt, don't.'

Act in your own time, of your freewill, don't allow someone to push you or pressure you to make a choice.

Consider the outcome of your choice.

Trust in knowledge, experience, but most of all trust in the Lord.

Proverbs 3: 5-6

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Pro-Act Many times, when a decision must be made, we react rather than pro-act. I agree that there are times when we must decide and must do so quickly. An example would be, " putting out a fire." " Hitting your brakes to avoid an accident." However, there are times when we react and make big mistakes. We must learn to slow down and practice " Pro-Acting." What does it mean to pro-act? When you are faced with a choice and you have the time, then take time to consider the ramifications of your decision. Look at how it will affect you or those around you. Consider what will be the long-term effect of your choice? The adage, says " A stitch in time saves nine." But also, we remember that " patience is a virtue." Pro- is a prefix of priority in space or time having especially a meaning of advancing or projecting forward or outward. Act: Means to do something, to exert force or energy. To act, to decide and move. To help you remember to pro-act when it is possible, I have written down an acrostic for you.
