Busumuru Kofi Annan,
Pride of Africa you are
Pride of Ghana you are,
At the mention of your name
The weak regain strength
The wild hard-hearted are tamed
And the poor acquire wealth
And the sad are happy.

At first you were like a pond
Now you are like the vast sea;
That billows roll gently stretches elegantly,
Shh... you are no different
Different from the splash of the sea
At the sea shore.

Busumuru Kofi Annan,
Humble and noble you went
Great and heroism you have come
A warrior of peace you are,
When you speak
It reaches the descending ears
And when you talk
It touches the inner spirit.
Because of you there is pride in Ghana
My sense of fulfillment has come.
The stars are leaping with ecstasy.

Busumuru Kofi Annan,
Symbol of love unity and peace you are
Meaning you have brought the African continent
Joy and honor you have added to Africa
And respect blessing you have bestowed upon Ghana.

No metal can be compared to you
No stone can be compared to you
More than Gold and precious stones you are
And you have become like the stars
Skies of the heavens for multitude.
