Preying (Praying) Mantis Poem by Sidi Mahtrow

Preying (Praying) Mantis

The say that the praying mantis female
Eats the male after mating.
Don't know if it's a true tale
But perhaps one should be cautious of the inviting(?)

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Praying Mantis

Wilderness within, inner voice I listen, emotional guidance system,
intuition of my yin..
Reaping the benefits of meditation,
segregation from a chaotic generation of a troubled nation.
I am an ambassador of the inner kingdom, breathing freedom,
is where I will be leading 'em.
Quiet the mind, calm the anger storm brewing inside,
heart open wide, cosmic aligned...
Come join me for some, Me Time, over some tea or wine?
Be kind, unwind and self-refine, soul define in the grapevine of the divine.
Getting creative, sedative native, tentative to the sensitive,
˜life is what we truly make of it'.
Praying Mantis and the Healing Teachings
that goes back to the Days of Atlantis.
Breaking bad thought habits,
it's sadness causing of all the world's madness.
It's time to enlighten the sheepish masses,
time passes while the future flashes...
My life is my covenant,
creating endless dreamscapes of wonderment and I am absolutely lovin' it!
Become one with nature and all the creatures,
mother earths many features of lovely teachers.
Universally aligned, wisdom to quench mind,
turning water into wine, reality is what we design.
Life is truly magic, if you just sit back and relax,
don't stress, just express through forgiveness.
Then tell a new story then become one with your journey...
you deserve happiness, honey.
Make peace with the past, let the pain pass,
patience is a virtue to awaken anew in the truth of you
Got me spinning a web of spiritual paths.
without all the difficult tasks of creating potion flasks.
Making my stand... holding my destiny inside the palm of my hand got me feeling grand.
With nothing to lose and everything to gain, without the pain, the hurt, the dirt,
That they kicked in my eye, made me shy and wonder why,
I hide inside to cry?
The New Dawn is nigh...
for every beautiful blue butterfly to fly high into the crystal blue sky.
And say your goodbyes and come to say, hello, how do you do? I'm free to think, feel and live anew,
In my rainbow hue rehab rescued,
for being ridiculed in a world that was so cruel to me and you.
Pick your path and I will pray, dream as I lay, down to sleep...
rabbit hole goes deep for the meek.
For the truth you seek, meditating like a mantis-monk in the woods,
where I am free.
Down by the lonely creek is where you'll find me.
Teaching and preaching, praying mantis totem,
ordained omen for this wise woman.
