*predictions From The Past

Rating: 2.7

Well I hitched a ride to the end of the edge
Of the seams of your dress when you knew that you would leave me there
I shoulda known that you’d leave me there
‘Cause I worked so hard, sometimes it’s hard to work
Fight like this, I knew that I would never win
I knew that I’d never win
But I’m stupid ‘cause I never really realized what it would take
What I’d take, what I’d have to do to keep you happy girl
That’s all I ever wanted to do
All I ever really wanted to do was just give you the world
But it was never gonna be a world that included me
Now I’m so sorry
So sorry that I spent every waking moment waiting for your call
Just to be let down, you always knew how to put me down
I couldn’t stomach it
Together we could become one, all alone
In a place we’d call home, or that place that I’d call your heart
That you’d call my black hole
You know I never thought I’d do all those things that I did to you
I never meant to hurt you, I just thought there was something there
Something only we could share
Now that it’s gone I see how you already moved on
But you didn’t move on, you took a step back
Why do you think it will be better this time?
All I know is that I hope he hurts you as much as you hurt me
Because you gave me these problems and now I’m more depressed
Than I ever wanted to be

You always knew it was the end
You always knew it was the end
You always knew it was the end
But you didn’t bother to tell me

This seems like it would make great song lyrics! I bet you wrote it with that in mind. It's so passionate like a song. Is it a true story? I'm really curious and would love to know :)
