Precious Jewel Poem by Raymond Valadez

Precious Jewel

a diamond in the mud. how no one ever saw your shine so no one ever had a lust.
a diamond in the rough. i saw you and believed in you so i gave you all my love.
i picked you up and took you home with me. i dedicated my life to seen you shine.
you where so beautiful. so valuable. i adored you. and my love was more than pure.
i treasured you. and i never wanted any one even to look at you.
but you where to valuable to stay with me. and now you are looking for the highest bidder.
my heart is broken and yeah my precious jewel you could say i am bitter.
but i know your not the only diamond out there and i will find another one because i am no quitter.
i believed in fate. so God took you out my way, for some one great. i must admit it hurts like hell, all this heart ache.
but i choose destiny over someone fake. answer me this, how does a eternal love begin to fade?
how could i see the rose i reap begin to decay? i have no answers my dying love, and my only option is to turn away
