Poverty Is Conceived As A Function Of Solitude

Rating: 5.0

The mystic poet takes
seriously the problem of „Self".

He wants his mind and heart
to be filled with the ‚wholly other‘.
So he tries to eliminate
all bondage to the Self.

He conceives amore
profound Idea of poverty.
Poverty is conceived
as a function of solitude.

Itis a detachment, isolation
from all that is superfluous.

For the greater the delight
in outward things, the harder
it is to leave them.
