Poverty Poem by Terry Dawson

Poverty

Rating: 5.0

Among the passing sea of legs
The tiny, ill-fed beggar begs
With his unheeded cup upheld
Scarce by the surging tide beheld.
And his poor soul more crushed each day
The beggar boy beside the way.
