Portrait Of The World Poem by Alicia Moore

Portrait Of The World

What is that story?
About a girl and a guy.
What were there names... Romeo and Juliet.
Story of Love they say.
But at the end.....
Everyone dies

How is it Love?
How can you tell?

The questions i used to ask.

Poetry does not write itself
Poetry doesnt always have to rhyme
People get inspired to be what they are
We all have some kind of art in our lives
I met someone who showed me the difference,
Difference between what is right,
And what is wrong

He told me that everything is art
Such a beautiful phrase
Then i looked at what he was saying
I never knew that such a thing could happen
My whole world changed
I was looking
Like i was looking at a portrait
He was right all along
Even if i try to fight it
No matter what
I knew that he was true

Thank you for all the help you gave me
Maybe now for once
I will look out at the world
And smile

portrait yet repainted by art of re-coloration, but it is all by own conviction that matters
