Pop A Bottle Poem by Sonam Wangchuk

Pop A Bottle

Rating: 4.0

You are the jewel in my crown,
Enduring every step like the soles of my shoe
You are the hint of a smile when I frown,
Stunning like the echo of birds that sang and flew

You are the maze in my eyes that captivates
The courage in my heart that eludes
They are tidal waves and we are pirates
We sail through fireworks or pouring blues

You are the only cure to the confines of sanity
But you leave a bad taste in the mouth
You set me free in a spirit of urgency
Then I murmur I swear and I shout

You bring the best and worst and together we play
Pop a bottle of beer and I will go happily astray
