Poor Ted
Ted Hughes
Enjoyed cigarettes and booze
But incurred feminist wrath
Over the sad decline of Sylvia Plath.
Sylvia had suffered mental health problems before coming to England and was always fragile and vulnerable, bless her.(Read 'The Bell Jar'.)
Ted takes some unfair criticism in my opinion, but the debate remains open, I suppose.
