The problems in the country
Lie in Washington DC
I don't know who they are serving
But it sure ain't you and me
They talk out of both sides of their mouth
So we don't know what to believe
Sometimes the things they say
I just cannot conceive
Some times the dumbest things I hear
Seem to come from them
They'll say it once and repeat it
So we get to hear it once again
I walk away with my head shaking
In total disbelief
Sometimes it comes from the one
Who is our commander-in-chief
I don't have an answer
Or even know what to say
I sometimes wonder to myself
How they get through the day
