Political Wizards: (Inspired By The Wizard Of Oz - 1939)

Rating: 5.0

It's important to remember in these strange times,
Where fact and fiction increasingly merge, and blur
The senses, that the seemingly powerful political wizards
Are really cowardly old men hiding behind
Curtains. They may be equipped with garish stage sets
And loud microphones, but they are as weak as water.
It takes courage, and incisive poetry,
To pull the curtains open and expose them.

A neat and nice political allegory with more than a pinch or two of biting and revealing satire thrown in the poetry pot. Five stars and worthy of more, and in the end they all heavily rely on soundbytes or when their political chips are really down...fear! Stay healthy my friend and don't let the fatherless cads get you down.

Thanks Shaun. I predict that the forthcoming U.S Presidential Election is going to be the biggest farce in history. I'd rather blow my brains out than be forced to vote for either the dastardly Trump or the ghastly Biden! I might just sit back and watch in amusement, whilst imbibing a few beers, when the brightly - lit, large scale Punch & Judy show finally hits the road.
