Poet Of The Dunes Poem by thomas tromblee

Poet Of The Dunes

The time of day that heavens reach upon
These dunes of sand the time when all is still
during night the time of winds that howl
and waves are led by edging tides that crash
upon the shore. The shadows dark and bleak
appear at a moonlight peak but disappears
by sunrise time. Upon this time as morning
appears from starlit skies. today appears
to start its way. Upon this new day
a day has passed away as skies of night
become the skies of day and many of these end-
-less days has passed away upon that day
when I became the poet of the dunes and started
living life by writing all that I could write
until the day that I cease having
life in this body of mine
