Poem For A Suffering Ukraine Poem by Bill Grace

Poem For A Suffering Ukraine

When the Kaiser was a child no one ever told him
he was out of line,
when King he always won at war games.
Von Moltke told him it must stop
and that he could not play
and kept his job to fight another day.

A strange man child for sure.
It took the Americans to send him into exile
and cost Europe the lives of a generation
to educate him and us
to what we find impossible to learn.
