Poem 15 (Looking For Response) Poem by C Jay Caputo

Poem 15 (Looking For Response)

I address this to you
For is has been a while
Have my messages via carrier pigeon gotten to you?
Surly you haven't forgotten me
Is time to strenuous to play games?
For the sun still rises
Ocean waves still crash upon shorelines
My letters have gone un responsive
My poetry has grown lonesome
Un read songs of praise go silent
For the praise is for one who yet read them
By their own choice?
Who would turn down such flattery?
Has it gotten old?
Surly this mustn't be the case
For I am trouble some in the case of a lengthy reply
Who can find fault with only assuming the worst when one doesn't respond
None the less, I hope my message carries far
To all corners of the earth
Iv made my statements clear
For I am here, standing ground

Just looking to shoot the breeze

-An anxious for reply
