Pocket Full Of Hearts Poem by Comfort Zone

Pocket Full Of Hearts

Rating: 5.0

On a beach of love-sands
I strolled lazily
Collecting red crystal hearts
And pocketed them
One by one.

Sometimes I heard one heart
Clashing against the other
And shattering to pieces.

What can be done?
After all they are fragile.

When I felt my pocket was loaded
I decided to return.

When I was back,
I put my hands into my pocket
But it was empty!
I hadn’t noticed that
My pocket had a hole in it.
It was perhaps overloaded.
And the hearts dropped one by one
On the way
And crushed to pieces silently
Much to my ignorance.

In the passion and rage
For collecting hearts,
I overlooked something crucial –
I ought to have handled them with care.
