While looking back on my memories
Picturing you and me a few years back
At least we were both quite struggling
To make ends meet within the summer
Heat perhaps that was the reason
You had to leave I would then bob and
Weave just trying to navigate through
This new reality I was stuck grappling
Mind games began reenacting the
Moments we both hated to see Like
The moment when you did finally leave
I knew right then that
I wouldn't find any peace
Still hoping that it was all a dream
As I was left to scream

For these wounds to truly heal

Shouting bouts gets replenished
That's what explained our youth
