Plea In Ignorance Poem by Wayne McCullough

Plea In Ignorance

Derangement, funny how it does not feel.
Confusion, funny how it seems clear.
Restlessness, funny how I stand calm.
I am not what you know.

Fear, I will embody.
Knowledge, I will impart.
Darkness, I stand alone in it.
I keep it from tearing you apart.

Mental shadows, I tell them to dance.
Hypnosis, you fall to my trance.
Anger boils over my flesh.
You beg...please, please....master...

You know not what you ask.
You are foolish and naive.
I will instead protect you...
From the demon underneath.
