Places In The Heart Poem by james d nall,jr

Places In The Heart

Rating: 5.0

Going through my favorite memories
Looking in my heart, thats where they'll be
The look on your face, when I gave you a ring
Means more to me than almost anything
Tears on your cheeks of pure joy
After giving birth to our little boy
The day, a picture, he drew for you
That said ' Mommy, I love you, too '
When you took him to school, on his first day
It was almost impossible, for you not to stay
You cried all the way home, feeling so lost
Nothing I could do to help, no matter the cost
These are but a few, of our precious times
Sweeter than any of the worlds best wines
The taste of these, will never go tart
For all my life, They'll have places in my heart

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

This is really a kind of story poem. And I love those. This one gave me a lot of pleasure to read. I love clarity and sentiment and this poem has both. I can really find nothing wrong with it at all. I may have hasd some diferent rhymes and proceeded differently, but you did a wonderful job and I have no complaints at all. GW62
