Pink Roses Poem by Leighton J Rees

Pink Roses

Pink roses will live forever
breathe life into my tired core
their beauty keeps me hungry
the sphere turns a little more

Pink roses keep returning
sacred, faded rest
a bloom that's never ending
veins, electric stem

Blood, soil, bone and earth
love everlasting
pink roses are immortal
I hold them, I devour them

Lakes of burden turn to
rivers of fortune
One became a thousand
shared
These roses helped you taste the stars
close your eyes and rest your head

Pink roses shall always wake me up and
remind me there is a moon to chase
Until the King of Arms and his Midnight Queen
get locked inside one last embrace
