Pieces Of My Heart Poem by Jessie Mahoney Bathis

Pieces Of My Heart

If ever two people were one,
Than surely we.
If ever a man and woman were in love
It’s you and me.
If ever a girl were so happy,
So proud of a man.
Compare me to another woman,
That’s if you can.
I treasure our love,
More than all those diamonds in the sky.
More than all the riches in this world,
This is why...
My love for you is everlasting,
I sense that you feel it too.
There is no man in this world,
I would rather have loved than you.
My love is such,
I could never repay.
The heavens reward me with you,
Each and every day.
Such miracles of life,
These moments that we spend together.
So precious that when we live no more,
Our love lives forever.
