What once was strong is brittle and bear
how quickly life becomes unfair
the heart of mine was on the line
and now it’s broken all the time

The pieces of my heart are all so small
I don’t think I can find them all
If that’s the case then what will it take
for me to start to heal the break

I don’t blame or wish you harm
I just want you back in my arms
you are the elixir to my life
and I still want you as a wife

I’ll pray tonight for you to see
that we were always meant to be
When that happens I know my heart
Will be ready for a brand new start
