Petals Of Life Poem by Alex Adeoye

Petals Of Life

As you can see
The rose has as graceful layer of colourful flaps
Which are speaking beauty in volume of clear voices,
No mincing words.
What is telling (you) is caution:
See twice of these divine folds of lapping beauty
Its graceful-angelic shakes in the wind graceful-command
Which painted a beauty to behold,
Make no comment because you aren’t seeing anything yet.
be careful.

I know you love it, you want to touch it
You want to hold it in your hands
You want to have it in your tender care
As much as you may want to possess it
You may not keep its beauty intact, it won’t last
You can't keep it in your fang

If you may learn to handle it
For everlasting beholding
Be a dump; don’t talk about it at all
It could develop wings and fly away
Be a deaf to its flying rumours,
Because you cannot give account of what you know nothing about
It will distracts you, if you want to know everything
Because you will wait unnecessarily at a point for nothing sake
What you will see is odourless vapors of going issues
You cannot hold them back, that is it.

As you can see its beauty
What is telling you is, to stand still in reserve alertness.
Think more than twice.
Capture it in mind fang for appreciation
Of the most high God
Behold of its divine folds, yes
Its angelic gigs in the wind-hold, fine
Behold its a mushroom in morning dew not to rush at.
If you do, you betray the conscience of love
That means killing the love you cherish
A suicide of hope in the twilight of love
The cry is (not) much but eternal.
The winds hold suspension is unchallengeable
That is the command
Dragging it awkwardly along with a moaning sound
You can’t hold it back, it’s not your duty to help.
You can only maintain your balance in the wind rootless command

Help yourself at the attack of singing birds,
Though her song is melodious,
Your rolling eyeballs in their sockets, is not there target,
They cherish the nectar of the rose, whose petals you cherish
That is why they are flying around,
But they may come for them because of their target
They will knocked you out of the contest
Your beauty does nothing for them, soul of the rose does
Save yourself from the noisy bees too
They are part to the contest
They have stake in it too,
They know the flap of the rose's set of layers
In grade, age, beauty and strength
And beauty than any contenders
Unlike you, they know when to come for the nectar
Not in the morning,
Morning dew would have tampered with its taste.
Not in the night,
They would have to preserve their strength
Till the other day.
