Perseverence
What keeps him walking
Through the path of thorns
Without ever stopping
And his feet all worn
What keeps him believing
When all hope is drained
As he keeps retrieving
A reason to remain
What keeps him smiling
When he has reason to cry
As he keeps finding
The strength to go by
What keeps him dreaming
When he’s haunted by his fears
As his faith keeps beating
Despite so many tears?
