Perhaps Love

Perhaps love was a favourite song
We sang in the afternoon
We really liked the lyrics
The rhythm and the tune

We went to a special concert
To hear him play this song
The just a year later
An accident and he was gone

The words were very spiritual
But we did not realise
Now when you listen to the song
It brings tears to your eyes

We enjoyed the songs together
Be happy and remember
Don't cry my love, they weren't sad times
They were best sang by John Denver
