Perfect Mate Poem by Shaun William Hayes

Perfect Mate

If I sat down with a paper and pen
A drawing board and some tools
To design the perfect girl for me
Now hang on don't call me a fool

She'd have your hair and your beautiful smile
And those come hither to bed eyes
And that cute little nose and those nibbly ears
And your breasts - for those I could die

The voice so warm and gentle
At least most of the time
Would sound just like yours my love
(I wonder if I can make this bit rhyme?)

None of these attributes would matter though
Without the beautiful mind and soul
Of one just like you my darling
See how I struggle to maintain control

So when the work is completed
And my perfect mate’s been revealed
I'll call her my true love forever
And our fate will eternally be sealed

Until then I will look at your picture
And dream as a man only can
Of the perfect womanly fantasy
The twin of Uma Thurman
