People Looking For Hope Poem by Ray Hansell

People Looking For Hope

Sitting in a waiting room
With people who are ill
Watching some of them
You can see their strong will

They are in a special place
That's for people just with cancer
The depth of their eyes tell you
From doctor's they want an answer

Long ago a few gave in
While others still cling to hope
Trying to find themselves a way
To learn how to cope

Some may live for many years
For others, time may be short
One thing they all know
Is that extra time can't be brought

I wish them all good luck
As they persevere
Knowing that when the end comes
God will be near

We are all God's children
Regardless of what one believes
He'll be there at heavens gate
When in heaven we are received
