Peace, Too Long In The Coming Poem by Sandra Feldman

Peace, Too Long In The Coming

Rating: 5.0

In this Ugly
Ugly,
World,
Of lies and killer bees
Some think they can do
Whatever,
Be haters,
Act as demented flees,
But Poetry says
"STOP"
You have bled
Beauty and goodness
Long enough!
The time has come
To put intolerance
And cruelty to one side
Have we learned nothing
Of all the wars waged
As fratricide?
Cain killed Abel
So long ago
And we still continue
Offering the same
Despicable ride?
Till when,
Till we kill each other off
And the Planet's heart beat, too?
How destructive can we be
How much can we still not see
How much harm can we still spew?

Peace comes always after wars. Never before. Why?

So what do we do today? That's all I got, let's play? An interesting view
