Peace Planet 2 - I Wish
I wish, I could sit on top of a mountain
Where the majestic mountains just stand still,
Like Yogis seated in deep meditation, in absolute silence!
I wish, I could stand and watch the blue clouds,
Not a bit scared, about fighter planes dropping bombs,
And turning the pink blue mountains into ghostly silhouettes!
I wish, I could go on a boat ride along a cool lake,
Not tensed whether I would be attacked by terrorists,
Instead, enjoy the serene beauty of a tranquil lake!
I wish, I could sit in a garden full of flowers,
Where I could breathe the fragrance of the exotic blooms,
Instead of inhaling the toxic fumes of war missiles!
I wish, I lived in a safe and calm place,
Where human beings did not turn into monsters
Chasing selfish, evil motives with no care or concern!
I wish, I could write beautiful poems,
Where my thoughts fly with poetic wings
Into valleys of hope, love and peace!

Today, all of this is only possible through astral travel.
Last two lines sum up the poet's quest for peace through hope and love. Very noble thought. But as RMS has said, at times, we are called upon to fight for peace in the troubled world.
