Pastures New Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

Pastures New

This lonely heart is torn in two,
For I'm forever missing you,
In the glow of summer's sun,
Many tears flow one by one.

Passing days feel so alone,
I look towards the telephone,
Wishing you could ring today,
Your gentle voice has drifted away.

In the blue and flawless sky,
A lonely dove
Flies gently by,
It's presence makes me think of you,
To float away for pastures new.
