Party For One Poem by Francesca Johnson

Party For One

Rating: 4.4

She's having a party,
a party for one.

The cake sits there
with one candle on it,
all ready to be divided
into one piece.

The music's on,
the drink is waiting to be poured
into one glass.

She will sit amongst ghosts
and toast her life

with tears.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Fran, this is heartbreaking. Next time, give me a shout and I'll come drink your wine with you, eat your cake with you and put the world to rights with you. t x
