Party For One
She's having a party,
a party for one.
The cake sits there
with one candle on it,
all ready to be divided
into one piece.
The music's on,
the drink is waiting to be poured
into one glass.
She will sit amongst ghosts
and toast her life
with tears.
Very sad poem, but one which many people can identify with, a different look at life here from a very observant writer, love Lynda xx
